Founded in 1981 by Sir Dr David Li, The Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong (known as ‘The Friends’) has raised and managed a scholarship fund called The Prince Philip Scholarship and has been supporting numerous promising students from Hong Kong to study at Cambridge University since 1982. The Prince Philip Scholarship includes a non-means tested cash award and one Hong Kong-London economy class return air ticket will also be awarded free of means test results. Scholars may also claim, where necessary, the full costs of tuition and subsistence. In addition to the administration of the scholarship, The Friends also organise alumni social activities, mentorship program, secondary school program, charity, prominent alumni profile and more. Q: When is the applicaiton deadline?
A: 15 October

Q: Where to send the application form?
A: The Administrative Secretary, The Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong, c/o The Bank of East Asia, Limited, 10 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong. (Contact person: Ms Cannie Kwan, Tel: +852 36088277)

Q: Can I send the application form myself?
A: All application form must be sent and endorsed by your school master/principal. We will not process the form if sent by the student directly

Q: If I am awarded the Prince Philip Scholarship, does that mean I am guranteed a place in Cambridge University?
A: Yes, Prince Philip Scholarship recipients are guranteed a place in Cambridge Univeristy

Q: I already have a first degree, am I eligible to apply to Prince Philip Scholarship?
A: No. The Scholarship aims to support Hong Kong students to pursue their first degree
