Cambridge University Eco Racing was founded in 2007 by an undergraduate engineer who, inspired by his work on a solar car team during his year participating in the Cambridge-MIT Exchange, began a similar project in Cambridge. By the end of the year, CUER had built a prototype vehicle, Affinity, in the hope of demonstrating the incredible potential of electric vehicles. Through the development of such vehicles, CUER aims to showcase cutting-edge sustainable engineering and to develop our own technologies for a low-carbon future.
